311 ACBF Performance Oddly Surrounded Exclusively By Breweries Serving THC Beers

This article is part of our partnership series leading up to Atlantic City Beer Festival.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Onlookers at Atlantic City Beer Festival noticed that all the brewery tents near the main stage during 311’s headlining set were serving THC-infused beers, stoned sources confirmed. Confusion started to mount after festivalgoers had to walk away from the performance just to find a regular lager.

“This is some spooky shit, man!” said attendee Pat Keliher, eyes glazed over and squinting. “Once the opening band was finishing up their set, I began to notice certain brewery reps start like… going into a trance or something. They just slowly migrated towards the stage area, jockey boxes and all, like on autopilot, you know? Fuckin weird, man. But also, really cool. There was a trail of hash oil the whole way, so you could see where their old spot was, too.”

311 frontman Nick Hexum says the band is used to the crowd being entranced during their performances.

“We love all our fans, but we definitely notice a certain clientele at every gig we’ve done since Transistor came out.” Hexum said. “Very jam-band-like, and festivals are no different. I gotta say, I think we’d prefer the high crowd to the drunk crowd, even at a beer festival. I know there are no bottles to throw at us, but when you’re high, you’re just chillin’. No fights, either. The smell is pretty similar across the board though… think patchouli meets Axe.”

Festival organizer Jon Henderson still can’t fathom how this happened, given the amount of planning that goes into planning the grounds and setup.

“Not sure what the fuck is going on, but all those breweries were on the other side of the field yesterday.” said Henderson next to the Euphoria tent. “Why did we bother getting maps printed out if this shit was gonna happen? They could have requested this when they found out 311 was playing! First”

At press time, no one knows who is on line for a beer and who is watching the performance.
