First Time AC Beer Fest Brewer Excited To Black Out And Miss Majority Of Weekend

This article is part of our partnership series leading up to Atlantic City Beer Festival.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Josh Naller, head brewer for the upstart “Tacit Beer Co.,” is excited to be representing his company by getting black out drunk way too early and missing the entire festival, concerned colleagues confirmed.

“WOO!! LET’S FUCKIN RAGE!!!” said Naller, double-fisting cans of the strongest beer his brewery brought to pour at the festival. “AC BEER FEST MOTHA FUCKAAA! Can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning, right?! I’m still drunk from the kickoff party last night, gotta just keep it rollin’ or else you’re doomed to pass out! Not this guy, though!”

Tacit sales rep Aubrey Plattsman, was hopeful that Naller would take the fest seriously, given they are supposed to be working.

“Yeahhh… kinda saw this one coming, but was hoping he’d at least pace himself until the first session was over.” Aubrey said, struggling to set up the brewery’s kegs behind the tent by herself. “This asshole starts doing car bombs at 8am and then shotguns one of our 10% stout cans. Looks like I’ll be working solo all weekend. Hopefully he at least is sober by the time tomorrow’s session is over so I don’t have to load him into the van with a hand truck.”

Festival organizer Jon Henderson is used to this type of behavior, but even Naller’s antics seem excessive.

“There’s one every year,” Henderson said, twirling his pristine handlebar mustache. “It never fails that these new breweries get excited for a fest, but don’t understand that AC is a different beast. You can’t stay up until 5am gambling and drinking jack and cokes and expect to function at an all-day, outdoor festival the next day. A lesson was hopefully learned here today.”

At press time, Naller could be seen passed out on the ground in front of the wing eating contest.
