FedEx Opening Drop-Off Location Inside Monkish Taproom

ANAHEIM, CA – A new FedEx drop-off location is set to open inside the tasting room of Monkish Brewing’s Anaheim location, according to a joint press release from the shipping giant and the hype brewery.

The partnership will be similar to the one FedEx has with Walgreens, using a satellite desk to handle beer orders where mules won’t even have to handle the beer anymore.

“This collaboration makes sense for both businesses,” a spokesperson for Monkish said. “We are aware of the amount of time and effort it takes to come to our brewery, buy our beer, package it, ship it, then have to worry if it’s going to get across the country to Brooklyn or Vermont without issue.”

“Now, our customers can order their cans to go, and opt to have it sent right over to the shipping desk where they can just give an address and pay the shipping fee. We want to thank FedEx for their partnership and support as we consider new ways to serve our customers, if you can still call them that if they don’t actually buy anything for themselves or drink our products.”

Tim Hill, a representative for FedEx, echoed the sentiment from Monkish.

“Where there are pain points, there is opportunity,” Hill said while literally turning a blind eye to the crime his company is now facilitating. “For too long beer mules raked in profits that should have been going to our hard-working drivers and logistics people. The less people handling a package the better; that’s Shipping 101. We view this as a lucrative business deal that should yield dividends for years to come.”
